Mates of State is an American indie pop duo consisting of Kori Gardner (vocals, keyboard, organ, synthesizer) and Jason Hammel (vocals, drums, percussion). Known for their energetic performances and innovative use of organ and drums, the duo has been a staple in the indie music scene since their formation in 1997.
