Sleater-Kinney is an American rock band that formed in Olympia, Washington in 1994. Known for their feminist and left-leaning politics, the band consists of Corin Tucker (vocals and guitar) and Carrie Brownstein (guitar and vocals). They are considered one of the most important bands to emerge from the riot grrrl and indie rock scenes.
